Backtesting and automated execution
An idea goes from notebook to quantified verdict in minutes, and most do not survive the test. It is the same filter I apply to specifications now.

- The problem
- A strategy idea is worthless until tested against data. Manually testing over a few months of charts mostly confirms what you hoped, and any rule that assumes someone is at the screen at 3am is not viable.
- What I built
- A complete Python pipeline: price history collection and storage, a backtesting engine that replays a strategy over years of data, automatic execution of surviving rules, and a dashboard tracking positions and performance. Packaged with Docker and hosted on my server.
- The result
- An idea goes from notebook to quantified verdict in minutes, and most do not survive the test. It is the same filter I apply to specifications now.
